Koehler, this Indie film won five BEST PICTURE awards and seven AUDIENCE
CHOICE AWARDs and more at various Film Festivals; another award winner, "Fragile
Storm" Jody was nominated for Best Actress and starred along side of Lance
Henriksen; some studio films: "Charlie Wilson's War" starring Tom Hanks and Julia
Roberts; Hollywoodland starring Adrien Brody and Ben Affleck; Chinaman's Chance
with Reggie Lee, Ernest Borgnine and Timothy Bottoms; and Absolute Evil with David
Carradine. She has lent her talents to several other award winning independent films
including "Kaylien" directed by Zoe Saldana (Avatar) with Academy Award winner
Bradley Cooper; "Screech," "The Guest," "Far Gone," "Last Call," "Disposable,"
and "Shelter." Her television credits include guest star roles on, "Days Of Our
Lives," "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," in addition to roles on : "Michael
Nesmith’s Television Parts," along with "Ghost Hunters," "Flying High," "A Loving
Light," "Crisis Counselor," "Eye of Dan" and the award winning ABC Special
directed by John Abbott, "Diane: A Portrait of a Runaway."
Jody's continuing career in television advertisements include: Advair, DirecTV,
Hewlett Packard, Secure Horizons, Time Warner, Iams Pet Food, The Home Depot,
Ameriprise Financial, Bell South and many other nationals. Her diverse character
voices can be heard on many Anime' and Manga television serials in the U.S. and
internationally including the popular Rumiko Takahashi Anthology Series.
As a singer and dancer at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas,
Jody opened for some of the great headliners of all time:
Harry Belafonte, the Ink Spots, Louis Armstrong, Tommy
Dorsey, and Dinah Shore.
She spent 5 years traveling with the USO and was
awarded the prestigious USO pin for her dedication and years
of service to our armed forces. "There isn't a better or more touching
audience in the world than our boys!"
Currently, Jody performs her soulful jazz and blues renditions
of songs from the American Song Book as the Headliner at
many Southern California venues: Tom Rolla's Gardenia (the
oldest cabaret club in the Nation), Catalina Jazz Bar & Grill,
Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill, Jax, Cafe' 322, to name a few,
and has a regular monthly gig at the NoHo Arts District Organic
Farmers Market. She brings some of her musical friends to share
and jam at the market free of charge to "give back" and expose
the community to jazz, blues, pop and some country. Music that
, some families may not otherwise have an opportunity to hear.
Jody is a working member of AGVA: American Guild of Variety Artists,
and Society of Singers, as well as SAG/AFTRA: Screen Actors Guild
She currently serves as a board member to the "International Student Film
Festival Hollywood," assisting with the development and promotion of aspiring young
Jody lends her talents and support often working directly with the AIDS Health
Care Foundation in Los Angeles, Actors and Others for Animals, the Angel Food
Foundation in Hollywood, National Day of the Children,
JAZZ Del Corazon-Music With A Purpose Enterprise, Where Are The Children, END
Most recently Jody joined ranks with Scherrie Payne, Mary Wilson, Rose Mallet,
Dee Dee McNeil, Jessica Williams and other jazz and blues vocalists donating their
talents towards a music DVD produced by H.B. Barnum, recorded by famed
trumpeter Nolan Shaheed, in Association with Martha LsCroix, with all proceeds going
to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Jody is an active member of AGVA (American Guild of Variety Artists) and
SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild), SOS (Society of Singers) and serves on
the board of directors to the International Student Film Festival Hollywood. .

Jody began her entertainment career over 40 years ago at Will-O-Way
appearances on stage, film and television. Some of her theatre work includes,
"Blythe Spirit," "Of Mice and Men," and "Elizabeth the Queen;" she garnered Best
Actress awards for her roles in "Veronica's Room," "Equus" and "The Gingerbread
Lady;" received acclaim for her roles in "Why is the dog howlin' Momma?," "Light
Up the Sky," "The Brute," as well as a Command Performance as "Kate" in "Taming
Of The Shrew" for Sir Basil Rathbone.
